Dear Student,
We are very proud to work with Mitsuba Associates, who provide students
with a great service, finding the best schools in which to learn English.
Spinnaker College, established in 2005, is a fast-growing college. We are
accredited by the British Council and therefore meet their high standards of
teaching and student welfare. The English courses we offer include General
English, Intensive English, IELTS and ESOL.
Our teachers and admin staff are friendly and dedicated. Many of us speak
another language as well as English. This helps when the students need to sort
out something but they cannot explain in English. We also have a member of staff
who is Japanese.
Our college is an impressive, historical, red-brick building - it looks very
English. The school has modern facilities such as a lot of PCs with broadband
and wireless connection, video room, student-room with snooker, drinks and
snacks vending machine and library. The use of PCs is completely free for
students.
The location of Spinnaker College is absolutely ideal for you. It is right in
the centre of Portsmouth with all the facilities very close: the High Street,
shopping mall, supermarkets, banks, post office, restaurants, pubs, clubs,
city's main library, attractive park and university.
Portsmouth is a great city for students to live and study in. There is something
for everyone.
・ It is a university city, so there is a young and lively atmosphere
・ It has a naval port with a world-famous collection of historical ships
・20 minute walk to Southsea beach . 15 minute walk to Gunwharf which is a large
modern shopping complex with a lot of designer outlets and many restaurants
・Portsmouth football team won the FA cup in 2008. Their stadium is in Portsmouth
・It takes only 1.5 hours to get to London and 1.5 hours to Brighton by train.
Both cities are very popular among Japanese people. There are ferries from
Portsmouth to France and to Spain.

日本人の皆様、
この度は、英語学習の学校斡旋で評判の高いミツバさんに紹介して頂ける運びになり、非常に光栄に存じます。スピナカーカレッジは、2005年に設立され、急成長中のカレッジです。ブリティッシュカウンシル認定校ですので、授業も福利もブリティッシュカウンシルの規定に合ったハイレベルなものです。当校での英語のコースは
● ジェネラルイングリウシュ（一般英語）
● インテンシブイングリッシュ（一般英語とIELTS試験向け英語の組み合わせ）
● lELTS（IEJTS試験向け英語）
● ESOL（ESO」は週あたりの時間数が少ないので、学生ビザの必要な日本人には向きません）
当校の先生やアドミニのスタッフはとても親切で仕事熱心です。スタッフの中には、英語だけではなく他の言語を言舌せる人が沢山います。もしも生徒さんが、事情を説明したいが英語では説明できないなどの事態に陥った場合は便利です。日本人のスタッフもいます。
校舎は立派で歴史のある大きな赤いレンガ造りのビルで、いかにもイギリスといった趣があります。校内は近代的で、沢山のPC（ブロードバンド無線接続可）、ビデオルーム、スヌーカーテーブル設置の生徒用の休憩室、飲み物食べ物の自動販売機、ライブラリーもあります。生徒さんにPCを使って頂くのは無料です。
スピナカーカレッジは絶好の立地条件にあります。ポーツマス市の中心地で、店の並んだハイストリート、ショッピングモール、銀行、郵便局、レストラン、パブ、クラブ、市の図書館、公園、大学などが、当校のすぐそばにあります。ポーツマスは、住むにも勉強するにもとてもいい所で、人それぞれに楽しみを見つけて頂けます。
● 大学のある市なので、若くて活き活きした雰囲気があります。
● 軍港があり、世界でも有名な歴史的な船を見られます。
● サウスシーの海岸まで徒歩20分ほどです。
● 徒歩15分くらいの所に、ガンワーフという、大きくて新しい店舗集合ビルがあり、ブランド物の商品の店やレストランが沢山あります。
●2008年に、ポーツマスのサッカーチームがFAカップに優勝しました。チームのスタジアムが地元にあります。
● 日本人に人気のある都市、ロンドンまで電車で1時間半、ブライトンへも電車で1時間半。ポーツマスから、フランス行きと、スペイン行きのフェリーが出ています。
スピナカーカレッジのスタッフをあげて、皆さんのかけがえのない学習体験と生活体験のお手伝いをできる日を楽しみにしております。
